The New EdTech Help Desk

Edtech district office at Weymouth High School 7-3pm

We are excited to introduce the latest addition to our Edtech support team, Aaron Macaibay. Aaron will be our first helpdesk support specialist providing tier one support for the district to improve customer service. Aaron is also a 2021 Graduate of the Weymouth High School Career and Technical Education (CTE) Information Technology program. The helpdesk role is the first level of support for the district available by phone, chat, Email, and walk-in. This role will provide basic troubleshooting and escalation within the Edtech team. We will continue to reinforce the practice of submitting a support ticket but recognize the value of being able to reach someone directly for urgent matters. He will work full time at the Edtech district office at Weymouth High School 7-3 pm. Please give Aaron a warm welcome and feel free to stop by and say hello.

During his time in the CTE program, Aaron completed coursework in IT support and Cisco Networking. He also participated in a CyberSecurity Certificate program through Bristol Community College earning college credits while keeping up with his studies at WHS.  Aaron participated in the IT Internship program, working with the WPS EdTech department for two summers during his time in high school. This past April, Aaron was awarded the Massachusetts Vocational Association’s Student Achievement Award and graduated with a GPA ranked 2nd amongst 73 CTE graduates.
